What if Adam ate from the tree of Zaqqum?
(What if the tree of Zaqqum is iblis and its fruits are shaitan?)
By: James Ada
Straight after the cursed tree in 17.60 it mentions iblis There are similarities for the tree and iblis
And when We said to you: “Your Lord has encompassed the people.” And We
did not make the vision that We showed you except as a test for the people, and the tree that was cursed in the Qur’an. And We are making them fearful, but it only increases their transgression. And We said to the angels: “Yield to Adam.” So they yielded except for iblis, he said: “Shall I yield to one you have created from clay!”
“Then indeed you, O those astray! the deniers, Will surely eat from (the) tree of Zaqqum. Then will fill with it the bellies, And drink over it [from] the scalding water, And will drink (as) drinking (of) the thirsty camels.” This (is) their hospitality (on the) Day (of) Judgment.
Indeed, (the) tree (of) (Will be) food (of) the sinner(s).
Is that better (as) hospitality or (the) tree (of) ? Indeed, We [We] have made it
a trial for the wrongdoers. Indeed, it (is) a tree that grows in (the) bottom (of) the Hellfire, Its emerging fruit (is) as if it (was) heads (of) the shaitiain.
20.120 Then whispered to him Shaitaan, he said, “O Adam! Shall I direct you to (the) tree (of) the Eternity and a kingdom not (that will) deteriorate?”
Could it was the fruits of Zaqqum (shaitain) tempting Adam to iblis (the tree)
He said, “I am better than him. You created me from fire and You created him from clay.”
And indeed, upon you (will be) the curse till (the) Day (of) [the] Judgment.”
He said, “Go, and whoever follows you among them then indeed, Hell (is) your recompense – a recompense ample.
